Where It Is Used

  • Food processing: meat, poultry, seafood, fruit and vegetables, bakery, frozen and snack lines — washing, sorting, cutting, cooling, freezing and packing.
  • Beverage, brewery and daily-chemical lines: post-filling conveying, lane splitting, buffering and carton loading.
  • Bakery and snack cooling, packing and turning; logistics carton and parcel conveying, merging and diverting.
  • Pharmaceutical and electronics outer packing and small-item conveying (cleanroom suitability and material confirmed per project).

Key Features

  • Interlocking plastic modules build belts across a wide range of widths and lengths; individual modules and rods can be replaced.
  • Light, low-friction and quiet — suited to light and medium loads, with positive drive that resists slip.
  • Many surfaces and accessories: flat, open, friction-top for inclines, roller-top for accumulation, cleats, sidewalls and hoppers.
  • Positive drive suits curves, inclines and long runs — radius modules for turns, friction tops for inclines, roller tops for accumulation.
  • Plastic material families behave differently in heat and chemicals; the grade is chosen for the duty.

Selection Notes

  • Plastic modular belts have temperature limits — not for furnace interiors, fryers or duties beyond the rated range; those suit metal mesh belts.
  • Thermal expansion and load change the return-side sag, which is compensated per the manufacturer's guide; over-tension damages modules, sprockets and rods.
  • Hinges, connecting rods, sprockets and wear strips are wear and soil traps; cleaning follows the belt manufacturer's method.
  • Some plastics lose impact resistance at low temperature — cold stores and winter start-ups need checking.
  • Not for sharp, heavy or strongly abrasive bulk loads.
